How it works

A unique combination of four distinct modes of aesthetic treatment are used to combat facial ageing: SmoothLiftin™, FRAC3®, PIANO® and SupErficial™.

Fotona4D® targets the exterior facial and interior oral cavity, enabling full-thickness contraction of collagen for persistent tightening and volumisation of the skin, all without injections. Using two laser wavelengths (Er:YAG and Nd:YAG) and four treatment modes, anti-ageing is comprehensively approached from four levels, working on deeper, medial and superficial connective structures of the skin, and also targeting imperfections.

The result for your clients is a naturally tighter and smoother face that looks younger and healthier, all with minimal downtime and treatment times of within one hour. As with all laser treatments the results will depend on the skin of your client, however they can expect to see great results within four treatment sessions, each one month apart.

The easy-to-follow Fotona 4D process

Intraoral Tightening.

Starting with SmoothLiftin™, a non-ablative Er:YAG intra-oral treatment for controlled and gentle “bulk-heating”. This stimulates collagen contraction and new collagen generation. Results are an overall improvement of tightness and elasticity and a plumping effect.

Rejuvenation.

Next, a FRAC3® Nd:YAG non-ablative technique is used enabling the treatment of specific, deeper imperfections to complement the effect of the intraoral treatment. This restores youthful texture and tone to the skin.

Skin Tightening.

Stage three uses the PIANO® Nd:YAG to achieve an ultra-long pulse mode causing safe but rapid bulk tissue heating from the outside in. This brushing technique has an overall synergistic tightening effect.

Light Peel.

Finally, the SupErficial™ uses a light, cold Er:YAG ablation to give a pearl finish to the skin. The overall effect is a non-thermal, no-downtime, precise treatment that vastly improves the appearance of the skin.

Our most advanced systems for the 4D Facelift


To offer this revolutionary facelift treatment to your clients, the SP Dynamis laser system solution from Fotona is required. To get the most out of the treatment and to ensure highest level of efficacy, handpieces R33T, R34T, R11 and PSO3 are utilised. For the best results, your clients should undergo four treatments, one per month. The average treatment time is one hour with minimal downtime. The treatment also includes ‘smooth eyes’ which can treat under the eye area safely to help tighten and smooth the eye area and can also be used to treat the lips, giving a plumping effect.
